Next week Natasha Kizmet will be in the Tampa Bay Area for the Film Fest at the Beach Theater. Her movie “Natasha Kizmet The Movie” is great and just so happens to star Ron Jeremy and our own Tony Batman. It is a must see and we hope to see you all at the Film Fest next Sunday night.

Natasha Kizmet’s life has unfolded like a female version of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat and Bruno, though with more topless scenes. Natasha came to America with a thick Uzbekistan accent, a dream of making it in show business, and a bombshell figure—all of which got her into some precarious situations. Along the way she produced an acclaimed belly dancing show and modeled for a topless website. While interviewing pornstars at a Las Vegas convention, producer Michael Drumm saw something special in her improvisational skills and asked, “Why don’t we just make a movie about you?” What resulted was Natasha Kizmet the Movie, a blend of mocumentary and biography.

I spoke with Natasha as she prepares to come to St. Pete for the Nomadic Tendencies Film Fest at the Beach Theatre. Below is an excerpt from our full interview, which you can listen to for free below.

Shawn Alff: How much of the film is based on true events?
Natasha Kizmet: 70% of the movie is true. It’s kind of my biography of being in the United States. It was so funny because one of my friends, she seen the movie and then she says, ‘Natasha, I’m worried about you. Did you find some job? Do you want to work with me in hospital.’

SA: You have a string of bad jobs in the movie to support yourself. Did you ever resort to stripping in real life?
NK: I have done a little bit because I needed to understand the job. I haven’t stripped professionally… I teach people how to belly dance, and one of my students is a stripper… When she told me she was an entertainer, I was shocked. I was like ‘No way, Jesus Christ. How can you do this job.’ But actually there is nothing wrong with this job. Sometimes people misunderstand this job. They think it’s escort, or it’s whorehouse, and it’s not. A lot of women with a lot of different lives come there because somebody needs to go to school or somebody needs to support her family or boyfriend. It’s very interesting world. A lot of different cultures there.

SA: Did Ron Jeremy even know he was going to be in your movie or was your scene with him improvised?natasha kizmet the movie mardi gras
NK: We didn’t plan to have Ron Jeremy in the movie at all… At the porn convention Michael Drumm says, oh look, Ron Jeremy, you have to get him in the movie. I’m like ‘How the hell am I going to get him in the movie?’ So, I’m kind of circling him like shark… He waves me over and there was huge line and he forgot about all this line… He was very nice. He didn’t touch me or try to do anything. He asks, ‘Who are you, are you pornstar? And I’m like, ‘Not yet and I hope I never be’… I say we’re actually here filming a movie and I would really like you to be in it. He says ‘Okay. Not a problem,’ and he give me his business card and this other card… This second card had his hotel room number…

SA: You brought your 70-year-old father to Miami while you were filming at the Exxxotica porn convention?
NK: We brought him there by day because he never seen it and he take a couple pictures with all the sexy girls and he was very, how you say, he actually got satisfied. He was really happy.

SA: Are you excited about attending the Nomadic Tendencies Film Fest with your movie?
NK: Yes, it will be great. I would love to to see my fans. I love to interact with people and be right in the middle of it. Be center of attention. And I’ll make sure to wear very, very, sexy nice dress. Yes.

Burbank, CA- Arriving a day early for the big Hustler-Free Speech Coalition Freedom Party in Hollywood at the famed Whisky A Go Go, we decided to check out our old friends at Sardo’s in Burbank and see how the Porn Star Karaoke night was getting along.

We went with our friends and producer from Striptaculous Radio Network to our old Tuesday night hang out. They were haveing a DVD release party for a New Sensations DVD and and we know it was going to be good because our friends Zoe Britton, Michelle Lay and Charlie Laine were there and of course sexy Nicki Hunter was hosting. (Nicki did an incrediable burlesque dance number at the Whisky for us the next night) I love her to death.

We also hung with Mike from the Exxxtacy Show and Sea J Raw. The next Exxxtacy show is in Phoenix in March of 2011.

We hung out for a while, all the seats seemed to be reserved for industry people, although a lot of them there we did not know. Guess the turn over in the industry gets you when you are not able to come and just hang out every week.

Our old friend Rob Spalone was out side with his Italian Ice Connection truck, dishing out some of the tastiest treats we have had in a while.. Rob is a true industry character and we have loved him ever since he used to come on our KSEX show back in the day with his crew of girls and tear the studio up… Good times..

(Las Vegas, NV) It’s very tough in this economy and with the proliferation of piracy to have a DVD sell successfully; it’s even tougher when the studio who produces a movie has a marketing budget of zero to to work with.  That’s exactly what publicist/director Joshua did with Deviance in 2009, and the results lauded him and his studio, skinworXXX, with Best High-End All Sex Movie at the AVN Awards and CAVR’s DVD of the Year.  These accomplishments, mixed with the rise in star PR of Joshua’s biggest clients, Teagan Presley and Eva Angelina, landed him the Fame Registry Publicist of the Year Award over some very stiff competition.

Kelli Roberts, who runs the Fame Registry, announced the winners of the 2010 Fame Registry Awards on Twitter this past Monday, August 31st, and had this to say about Joshua and his accomplishments in 2009, “This one category took me the longest to analyze and figure out a winner just based on the sheer amount of data involved in the process. It was extremely time consuming but I felt it was an important category to honor those who do the back end work. “Well there is one PR “person” who has helped guide the career of several porn stars, quite a few of which were award nominees this year. This person can also credited with the PR success of a title that in today’s horrible economic outlook sold an unreal number of pieces. In fact, this person helped to move a single gonzo title, selling 4 times the total number of pieces in 3 months than the average DVD right now moves in the entire year, with an almost zero dollar marketing budget.” And with that announcement, Joshua, the business partner and fiancee of Teagan Presley, won the Publicist of the Year.

“I gotta be honest, the last year has been one shock after another for me.  To win CAVR and AVN was obviously huge considering Deviance was only my second movie; to win Publicist of the Year against such ridiculously talented competition such as Brian Gross and Erika Icon, shocked is probably an understatement.  Best Suitcase Pimp was an award I jokingly thought a few years ago would be the only won I would win, so I am thrilled I’ve been able to make a good name for myself.” jokes Joshua. “I have made it my forte on Twitter and the other social networks of really pushing my movies and the stars I represent to new levels. I’m glad it’s working!”

Awards Show was crowning event of 18th Annual Gentlemen’s Club EXPO at The Mirage in Las Vegas

The 13th Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show was lucky for several clubs and feature entertainers, as they were honored as the best-of-the-best among their industry peers.   At the 18th Annual Gentlemen’s Club EXPO (August 22-25, 2010, The Mirage, Las Vegas) ED (Exotic Dancer) Publications’ “From Exotic Dancer With Love” Awards Show presented awards to the top adult nightclubs, industry executives and feature entertainers at the industry’s only national awards show.  Held on Tuesday, August 24th at The Mirage’s Grand Ballroom, the show was hosted by popular comedian Ralphie May (Variety Magazine’s “10 Comics to Watch,” Comedy Central specials, “Last Comic Standing”) and featured a live rock band and several special guest presenters.

The evening’s biggest winners included The Crazy Horse in San Francisco, which took home the prestigious Overall Gentlemen’s Club of the Year Award; Schevelle, who was crowned ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year; and Deja Vu (which also owns/operates the Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club locations), who won the Club Chain of the Year Award.  (A complete list of winners and photo captions is provided at the end of this release.)

“We’ve had several top comedians host our Awards Show over the years, but this was the first time the host has ever received a standing ovation,” says ED’s Associate Publisher Dave Manack of Ralphie May’s performance.  “Thanks to him—and to all of the deserving award winners, nominees and special guests—this will certainly go down as one of the most memorable shows in the EXPO’s history.”

For the first time ever, ED Publications presented the Employee of the Year Award for the industry’s top club employee. Also, for the first time ever, four First Amendment attorneys were inducted into the Exotic Dancer Hall of Fame, based on their contributions to the EXPO, to the Exotic Dancer Club Bulletin (the adult club industry’s bimonthly business magazine, produced by ED Publications), and to the industry at large.  They included Clyde DeWitt, Luke Lirot, Brad Shafer and John Weston.

“For all that these—and many other—First Amendment attorneys have done on behalf of adult nightclubs across the country, it was about time that they were recognized by us and by the industry,” says Manack of the Hall of Fame inductees.

While the ED’s Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show may certainly have been the crowning event of the 18th Annual EXPO, it certainly isn’t the only facet of the convention worth noting.  For the third time in four years, the Annual EXPO was combined with the Annual STOREROTICA Show, another convention produced by ED Publications (STOREROTICA Magazine is the leading, national bimonthly business magazine for the owners and operators of adult stores and lingerie boutiques). EXPO and STOREROTICA convention guests were presented with three days of well-attended industry workshops and seminars, featuring a host of industry experts, while the combined 300-booth Tradeshow showcased hundreds of products and services available to club/store owners, operators and other industry professionals that will enable them to stay ahead of their competition.

Of course, it wasn’t all work and no play at the combined EXPO/STOREROTICA Show.  The Opening Night “Hawaiian Luau” Party featured a guest appearance by comedian Hal Sparks (VH1’s “I Love the ‘80s,” “I Love the ‘70s,” formerly of E!’s Talk Soup), and included a limbo contest and “Hottest Island Girl” contest, both of which offered a $500 cash prize to the winner. The Closing Night “Woodystock” Showcase Party, hosted by Rick’s Cabaret in Las Vegas, included performances by eight of the hottest touring feature entertainers in the adult nightclub industry, including adult film starlet Katsuni.

The sordid past of controversial Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub has resurfaced as her ex-husband Kevin Maher recently testified – with even more details – about Danielle’s dark life when she was still known as Beverly Merrill.

“Throughout our entire relationship from the very first day I met Danielle Staub till the end, there was cocaine involved just about every day of our lives,” Kevin testified. The two met in 1986 at what Kevin calls a “cocaine party.”

Kevin delved deeper into their intimate relationship. When asked how many times he and Danielle had sex in the years they were together, he responded: “… it was every single day, morning, noon, and night… It was all day, all night. So it was more than – I’ll say it was more than – more than four times a day.”

The testimony is part of a lawsuit Maher filed against Staub for what he claims are untrue statements she has made against him.

Staub has alleged that Maher raped her on a bed of glass, inserted a gun into her vagina and played Russian roulette, and killed her dog by hanging it.
